DPP Coorperating with Attorney General to Summon PBB Defaulters

Jakarta Tax Service Department (DPP) is cooperating with Indonesia Attorney General to summon some taxpayers who are in arrears paying land and building tax (PBB). There are 500 taxpayers recorded both individuals and companies that in arrears of PBB in the city up to Rp 3 trillion. 

In these few weeks, we and the attorney will summon those taxpayers which have the highest value of PBB

"In these few weeks, we and the attorney will summon those taxpayers which have the highest value of PBB," said Head of Jakarta Tax Service Department, Agus Bambang, Thursday (8/6). 

Bambang explained that the tax arrears that reach Rp 3 trillion were caused by the old legacy, where the previous tax arrears have not been paid thus the value keeps growing then swell.

"If the previous the Notification of Tax Due (SPPT) has not been paid by taxpayers, the arrears data will keep growing. We can't shut it down," he uttered. 

He told those 500 taxpayers have been listed on summons list and have not paid the tax for years. 

"We only choose taxpayers whose arrear value is high that is Rp 3-Rp 5 trillion," he closed.
